The law establishing the general regime for the protection of whistleblowers and transposing Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2019 on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law is Law No. 93/2021 of 20 December.
Under this Act, internal and external whistleblowing channels allow for the secure submission and tracking of complaints in order to ensure the completeness, integrity and preservation of the complaint and the confidentiality or anonymity of whistleblowers and the confidentiality of the identity of third parties mentioned in the complaint, and also prevent access by unauthorized persons.
To this end, Omnifish provides this channel, accessible through the electronic form created for this purpose and made available on this page of the Omnifish website.
External complaints are considered as the communication of information on possible violations reported to Omnifish, as the competent authority, under the terms and for the purposes of Article 12 of Law No. 93/2021 of 20 December.
If you wish to proceed with a complaint, the communication to be made to Omnifish should contain, where possible or applicable, a detailed explanation of the possible infringement, including information on dates, identification of persons and entities involved. It should also be supported, if possible, with documentation.
All reports submitted through this means are treated with complete confidentiality.
